Shrimper 19 owner seeks crew for weekday cruising in the Fal and surrounds, and/or for racing (not at front of fleet!). Previous experience is not necessary.
Boat is moored at St Just Creek, but I can pick up from Mylor etc.

I’m looking to return to sailing after many years having not stepped foot aboard and as a result, I would class myself very much as a beginner in terms of knowledge and skills. However, I’m planning on undertaking the day skipper course to begin upskilling myself, but I would be really keen to offer myself as a reliable and trustworthy crew member to someone who could use a hand either on the water or on the hard. I am 66 years old and have qualified as RYA coastal skipper. I have over 30 years experience of crewing on yachts and also more recently chartering as skipper. I am interested in crewing yachts on passages, particularly the club cruises to Fowey, Scilly (in July) and Helford.

My son, Ben, is an RYA Competent Crew. He’s away at university but will be back for the summer holidays and would like to crew if anyone needs one. James
