Training


Mylor Yacht Club is an RYA Recognised Training Centre (RTC) and we offer RYA and other Training Courses to our members throughout the year.

Various RYA courses lead to recognised qualifications and are delivered by RYA qualified instructors, most of whom are also club members. They include subjects such as shorebased Day Skipper , VHF, , Power Boat Level 2 (theory and practical using the club’s RIB), First Aid at Sea and Diesel Engine Maintenance.

Day skipper shore based £265 for 17 week . PLEASE SELECT THE FIRST DATE AS ITS ALL ONE COURSE. SELECTING MORE THAN ONE WILL CHARGE YOU EXTRA

Short range radio course fees of £65 do not include a £30 exam fee and £30 fee to OFCOM for the radio license paid direct to the RYA via their website.

The courses that have a corresponding RYA book or training pack (diesel engine,  essential nav, first aid, vhf and powerboat level 2) have the extra cost of the book.
