Training
Mylor Yacht Club is an RYA Recognised Training Centre (RTC) and we offer RYA and other Training Courses to our members throughout the year.
Various RYA courses lead to recognised qualifications and are delivered by RYA qualified instructors, most of whom are also club members. They include subjects such as shorebased Day Skipper and Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster, VHF, RADAR, Power Boat Level 2 (theory and practical using the club’s RIB), First Aid at Sea and Diesel Engine Maintenance. Non-RYA courses include Introduction to AIS, Electronic Navigation and Basic Boat Electrics. We also run refresher courses in Diesel Engine Maintenance and RADAR.
