Elliot Holman (RNLI volunteer) rowed across the Atlantic in a team of four rowing in the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge. The start of the race was from the Canary Island of La Gomera and they finished in Antigua in the Caribbean, a distance of 3,000 miles. The challenge has been described as an extreme endurance race, the aim to test the rowers against Mother Nature and to experience a once in a lifetime adventure.
The team endured sleep deprivation, dehydration, huge calorie deficits, hallucinations, salt sores, 60ft waves and physical and mental exhaustion as they navigates one of the busiest shipping zones in the world.
Come and hear more about his amazing experience and achievement.
