Geoff Mackrill took over the running of his family business, Teal and Mackrill, in Hull in 1999. Last year, he was awarded the coatings industry’s highest honour, the Silver Medal at the British Coatings Conference (BCF) in Derby. He has been active within the BCF since the early 2000s and has led BCF’s campaigning with government departments on several key issues – most notably defending the use of anti-fouling coatings for the marine sector with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and Defra.

An independent company, Teamac is a prominent brand known for its marine paints and coatings, all produced in Yorkshire.  Their product line includes a diverse range of marine paints, including marine grade varnishes, topcoats, undercoats, primers, anti-fouling solutions, deck paints, bilge paint, and various other marine coatings.
