Mylor Yacht Club welcomes all Shrimper 19 sailors to the 2024 Shrimper Open Championships between 30th August and 1st September 2024. Building on the success of previous seasons events, MYC will be hosting a weekend of Shrimper racing and social chit chat both on and off the water. The sailing takes place in the beautiful and scenic Carrick Roads, a great location for sailors, families and supporters, and perfect for Shrimper cruising and racing. We can’t wait to welcome you and your family.

The 3 day race series will suit Shrimper sailors of all racing abilities, with a helpful onsite team at Windsport to support the less experienced sailing teams joining in the racing for their first time. It’s not all about winning, and fun prizes will be presented throughout the weekend.

Entries are welcomed from both crewed Shrimpers and singlehanders, and entry fees include all Racing and ticket(s) to a Pasty Supper on Friday; a BBQ on Saturday; and a Cream Tea Prizegiving on Sunday. Additional Social Tickets for family and supporters are also available on line, or at Registration. A substantial early booking discount is available until 10 August 2024. Entries are limited to 40 boats so early entry is strongly recommended.

Visiting Shrimper owners/skippers may launch and recover unassisted from the public slipway at Mylor Harbour. Shrimper owners/skippers who require assistance in launch or recovery; marina or mooring facilities; and /or trailer storage should contact Mylor Yacht Harbour https://www.mylor.com or Windsport International https://www.windsport.co.uk Motorhome facilities /camping may also be obtained from Windsport International/Coastland for those wishing to stay on location.
